Advance notice of a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - Fleckney Lane

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for Fleckney Lane, Shearsby

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council Highways to facilitate water retexturing works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure and parking restriction.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 5 days commencing on the 24th January 2019.

Crossroads accident , 15th December 2018

An accident was reported at the A5199 Shearsby crossroads, late evening of Saturday 15th December 2018. Two cars had a head-on collision, damaging the cars badly but there were no reports of casualties. Police were involved.

Leicestershire County Council have issued a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order to close Mill Lane for Friday 23rd November 2018.

It is suggested that your cars and bins are moved on Thursday evening latest to give clear access to the road.

When re-locating your car please give consideration to parking for the Chandlers as Friday lunch is usually a busy time for them.

We have had a little rest from campaigning for safety at the Shearsby crossroads, but we are getting back "on the road again".

Shortly the webpage will be updated, results of our petition will be in, comments from the meeting with the Proving Ground and the MP will be with us, contact with other Local Councils will be re-convened and actions planned.
