Litter Picking

Litter Picking

Litter picking around the village took place on 10th March. Here is a note from Richard Kew, Chairman of the Community Association:

Litter pickers, we thank you, great job. Over 70 black bags of rubbish collected from the outer environs of Shearsby this morning by the biggest turnout of villagers, so much so that we ran out of kit and bin bags.

Tea Break on Tuesday

Tea Break on Tuesday

Come along to our monthly "Tea Break" morning, 10.30am to 12.00noon.

Villagers can pop in for a cuppa and biscuits and have a natter.

It will happen on the same day the mobile library is due so you can change your books and meet up with people.

Litter Pick

The Shearsby Community Association is having a litter pick on Sunday 10th March and welcomes volunteers to assist.

Meet at 10am at Keith and Anne Beeson's on Back Lane. Bring gardening gloves. We will have fluorescent tabards and litter picking equipment provided by Harborough District Council.

Traffic Alert!

Traffic Alert!

Bruntingthorpe Proving ground have an event on site this Saturday, 9th March 2019 and locals are warned that there may be more traffic than usual, especially mid-afternoon.

The event closes at around 10pm so expect traffic then too.
