The conference started yesterday with discussion in the morning on Rural Economic Regeneration and we were delighted to be joined in the afternoon by Lord Benyon of DEFRA to discuss rural proofing and delegates concerns about rural communities.
Included in this edition of the Spotlight are details of how rural businesses and communities are set to benefit from up to £110 million of funding allocated by the government under the 'Rural England Prosperity Fund, details of research from the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise (NICRE) which uncovers how farm businesses may struggle with new policies and the announcement by government of measures to support people and businesses with their energy bills.
