Police Update
For your residents
The local teams have grown dramatically in the last 2 years. We now have two full time bases at Harborough and Wigston which cover the area. Incidents are attended by Neighbourhood Patrol Officers (response officers in old money), supported by Neighbourhood Officers and PCSO's, Local CID and a proactive team.
The area remains one of the safest in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, however we are not complacent and there is more to do.
Our priorities over the next 12 months, as set by the public are:
- Road Safety
- Rural Crime
- Reduce Violent Crime
- Reduce ASB
We also advise everyone to sign up to Neighbourhood Link https://www.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk/ this is our formal tool for engagement, providing you with updates from across the area. We also use this to find out what matters to you and give updates on what we are doing to tackle those issues.
If you need to contact your local team this can be done directly via email or calling the control room. If this isn't appropriate or you cannot get hold of them try the Sgt for the area. If the problem affects more than one beat, or the whole of the district then please do come to Insp Purdie or myself, otherwise the local Sgt's will be able to assist.
