As we are all aware, Coronavirus continues to dominate the news. We, like everyone else, are monitoring the situation on a daily if not hourly basis. The Parish Council have assessed a list of vulnerable people in the village and we believe currently that there is enough coverage and support through neighbours and carers.

However if any of you think this is not the case, please contact the Clerk who will endeavour to assist.

Shearsby response to Coronavirus

Thank the NHS

Just to confirm that, under the current conditions prevailing, the Village Hall is closed, and all events postponed until further notice.

We have today (23rd March) made the difficult decision to close the Village Green and play area until further notice.

It was not a decision we made lightly but we have taken into consideration Government advice on social distancing to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus, and are also following actions taken by Harborough District Council.

Stay safe everyone
